The Last Windows 10 Upgrade Blocks Removed By Microsoft

Recently, Microsoft has revealed some issues are affecting Windows 10 computers with Synaptics or Conexant devices. It is creating problems and errors while updating “Windows 10 version 2004 or 20H2.” It has impacted systems with Synaptics or Conexant audio devices or Conexant ISST audio drivers. These were under investigation since May 2020, when the first version was released.

Eliminating updated blocks

Due to the Conexant audio drivers leading to BSOD crashes, Microsoft has eliminated two update blocks in December. After a month, Redmond revealed the system being affected by Conexant compatibility can now go ahead and update “Windows 10 version 2004 or 20H2.” It should be done after rolling back the previous installation of Windows 10.

Upgrade systems with Conexant drivers

Systems being affected by Conexant issues can update with the latest Windows Server versions (20H2 and 2004) and Windows 10. It has been possible after Microsoft has eliminated the remaining safeguard holds blocking from updating.

Absence of updated drivers

In case updated drivers are absent, you have Windows version 2004, Windows 10, version 20H2, or Windows 10. Also, small devices can roll back to the previous versions while attempting to update. When this happens, you should try updating Windows version 2004, Windows 10, version 20H2, or Windows 10 again. Before updating the newer version, it may take around 48 hours, provided it does not get affected by another safeguard.

Windows 10 20H2 and 2004 rollout

Windows 10 20H2 was rolled out in March and Windows 10 2004 to the board deployment channel. The second one is available since February, and the 20H2 rollout approaches the end of service (EOS). The company is trying their best to ensure everyone has a reliable downloading experience while updating Windows 10 20H2. If you are still using an older version, it is better to update the newest one to receive the latest update from time to time regarding security aspects.

Opt for a VPN

When it is about security, one more aspect you can look for is a Virtual Private Network. Picking the right VPN, like privacyenbescherming, will secure your connection while maintaining traffic. With that, no one can ever steal your data or find out what you are doing. You can also browse different websites that are restricted in your region. It also lets you use public Wi-Fi safely and make online transactions safely.
